On 27 July, SIPRI, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) hosted an affiliated event of the United Nations Food Systems Pre-Summit on ‘From Conflict and Hunger to Stability and Nourishment: A Comprehensive Approach to Peace, Development and Humanitarian Action’.
On 21 June Chibeze Ezekiel, a panellist for SIPRI’s Environment of Peace initiative, briefed a virtual meeting of the Group of Friends on Climate and Security at the United Nations in New York.
On 29 June, SIPRI hosted an online briefing to coincide with the launch of the report ‘Autonomous Weapon Systems and International Humanitarian Law: Identifying Limits and the Required Type and Degree of Human–Machine Interaction’.
