Timo Smit
Timo Smit is a Senior Researcher in the SIPRI European Security Programme and the SIPRI Peace Operations and Conflict Management Programme. His research focuses primarily on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) of the EU, particularly the aspects of it related to civilian crisis management.
Prior to joining SIPRI in 2014, he was a research assistant at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and a junior analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies in Brussels.
