Managing Quantum Computer Export Controls in an Era of Geopolitical Competition
EVENT
The second quantum revolution is enabling key advances in quantum computing. In response, states are increasingly treating quantum computers as strategic technology, applying export controls and other technology security policies to them. Since 2023, European Union member states, South Korea and the United States, which are all key technology partners in the development of quantum computers, have adopted export controls on quantum computing technology.
