Nivedita Raju

Nivedita Raju is a Researcher in the SIPRI Weapons of Mass Destruction programme. Her recent research focuses on trends in space security, space governance and transparency and confidence-building measures. Additionally, Nivedita is a Project Coordinator on behalf of SIPRI in the EU Non-proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC).

Previously, she was a research fellow at the Open Lunar Foundation, and a research assistant at the Institute of Air and Space Law at McGill University. Her past research has studied lunar security and cross-border suborbital flights, among other issues related to space law and policy.

Nivedita holds an LLM from McGill University and an LLB from Gujarat National Law University. Prior to her studies at McGill, she practiced law in Mumbai at a firm specializing in aviation, commercial disputes and litigation.
