SIPRI Yearbook launched at 18 universities and research centres in China

SIPRI's Dan Smith and Dr Lora Saalman launched SIPRI Yearbook 2016 and the Chinese translation of SIPRI Yearbook 2015 at 18 universities, research centres, and embassies across four cities in China.
In Beijing and Changchun, SIPRI Director Dan Smith, China and Global Security Programme Director Dr Lora Saalman, and Research Assistant Su Fei visited the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association, the Institute of American Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the University of International Business and Economics, the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Embassies of Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom, as well as Jilin University.
In Shanghai and Hangzhou, SIPRI China and Global Security Programme Director Dr Lora Saalman visited and presented research on cyberspace at roundtable discussions at Shanghai Normal University, the Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology, the International Energy Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, the Institute of Information Services and the Institute of China Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Pudong Academy of Reform and Development, the Center for China’s Relations with Neighboring Countries and the American Studies Center of Fudan University, and Zhejiang University.
