SIPRI, in collaboration with the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), is pleased to launch the Russian language translation of SIPRI Yearbook 2020. The launch event took place online on 23 November and included a presentation of the supplement to the translation, Russia: Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security.
The launch event was opened by Dr Alexey G. Arbatov, Head of the Center for International Security, IMEMO, and Alexander Dynkin, President, IMEMO, who gave welcoming remarks. This was followed by presentations from senior IMEMO analysts and other experts from prominent organizations and universities. The event gathered about 50 representatives from government ministries, institutions within the Russian Academy of Sciences, embassy staff, independent research centres and the media. The translation of SIPRI Yearbook 2020 was made possible primarily due to cooperation between IMEMO, the Russian Academy of Sciences and SIPRI.
