Ann-Sophie Böhle

Ann-Sophie is a Research Assistant in the SIPRI Climate Change and Risk Programme. She holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Change Management. Her primary research interests include the climate-conflict-nexus and environmental peacebuilding. Her focus is on climate finance targeting fragile and conflict affected states.

Prior to joining SIPRI, she completed a traineeship at the European Commission’s Climate, Infrastructure and Environment and Executive Agency (CINEA), where she assisted with the management and feedback to policy of several climate research and innovation action projects. During her studies, she worked as a sustainability manager in a start-up and gained experience in regional climate change management in a German district administration. Next to her professional life, Ann-Sophie volunteers for two NGOs, raising awareness about local climate change, while also advising on a just and sustainable transition.
