Luca Guglielminotti was an intern with SIPRI's Sahel and West Africa Programme. He supported the programme’s research and conducted literature, media and social media coverage regarding current developments in the Sahel.
During his studies, Luca’s research focused on peacebuilding operations in sub-Saharan Africa, identity politics in Côte d’Ivoire, self-defence militias in Burkina Faso and development policy analysis. Parallel to his work with SIPRI, he is an Editor and Analyst at the Initiative pour la Paix et Sécurité en Afrique (IPSA).
Prior to joining SIPRI, Luca was Project Assistant at the Regional Programme for Political Dialogue in West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad Adenauer foundation in Côte d’Ivoire. He was involved in NGOs in Côte d’Ivoire and in the Netherlands.
