Evelina Cristofano was a Research Assistant/Programme Coordinator for the SIPRI Sahel and West Africa Programme.
Prior to joining SIPRI, she has been working mainly in programme and project management, data analysis, evaluation, partnership development and stakeholder engagement in various international organizations. In particular, she has worked for European Union Institutions – European Investment Bank and ECDC – and for several United Nations Agencies – UNICEF, IFAD and UNAIDS. Her latest assignment has been as Programme Officer at UNAIDS Regional Support Team for West and Central Africa, based in Dakar, where she has been in charge of the design and development of regional programmes, with a particular focus on human rights and stigma and discrimination reduction for HIV+ people.
