Dr Andrea Edoardo Varisco is an Associate Senior Researcher at SIPRI. Previously, he was the Director of the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme. Andrea has worked as Head of Analytics for Conflict Armament Research and had field research experiences in conflict-affected countries in the Middle East, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has authored and co-authored analytical reports on arms control and weapons and ammunition management for European, African, and Asian National Governments, Armed and Police Forces.
