Moa Peldán Carlsson

Moa Peldán Carlsson was a Research Assistant on emerging military and security technologies. Her focus spans autonomous weapons systems, artificial intelligence, cyber-security, arms control and emerging technology. During her studies in Political Science, she developed a profile on gender and terrorism, where she wrote her thesis on alternative paths for female empowerment in militarized societies. She has also studied South Asian perspectives on peace and conflict in India and Nepal, as well as contemporary global security topics, terrorism and gender in Australia. Prior to joining SIPRI, Moa was an intern at the UN Women national committee of Sweden and managed her own company of graphic design and communications.
