On 6 May, SIPRI hosted a delegation from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Parliamentary Assembly for a series of thematic expert discussions, as part of their visit to Sweden.
Dan Smith, SIPRI Director, welcomed the delegation, together with Attila Mesterhazy, Chair of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Defence and Security Cooperation (DSCTC).
Present in the delegation were senior officers from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Sub-Committees on Democratic Governance (CDSDF) and DSCTC, as well as representatives from nine member countries.
The discussions with SIPRI experts focused on climate change and security, the future of arms control and the future of the High North.
