SIPRI is pleased to announce the launch of the new short-film series, ‘Spotlight’, featuring experts and leaders from a diverse range of disciplines in the field of peace and security.
These short, on the spot interviews, are conducted on occasions where individuals have visited SIPRI for various events, seminars and workshops. The films seek to capture an array of angles and viewpoints that will stimulate further discussions. While these are designed to offer snapshots, the intention is to provide starting points to contribute to a continued dialogue to better understand the conditions for peaceful solutions of international conflicts and for a stable peace.
SIPRI will develop ‘Spotlight’ alongside two additional new film series in 2017. These will investigate further the key themes of SIPRI’s work, connecting the conceptual and theoretical aspects with in depth insights from individual experts.
Watch the first three films of the ‘Spotlight’ series, taken from January’s workshop on ‘Russia–China Rapprochement and its Impact on Asia and Europe’:
- Major General (Retd) BK Sharma - Deputy Director (Research) and Head of Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation, The United Service Institution of India.
- Dr Rajeswari Pillai Rajagopalan - Senior Fellow and Head of Nuclear & Space Policy Initiative, Observer Research Foundation.
- Dr Amirudin bin Abdul Wahab - Chief Executive Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia.
