SIPRI Researcher provides Afghanistan expertise to the European Parliament

On 17 November 2016, SIPRI Researcher Richard Ghiasy presented his research on Afghanistan at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. Richard shared his views on the current political situation in Afghanistan, and predictions for how the political landscape may evolve before the next planned presidential election in 2019. His presentation concluded with views on how these developments might affect the relationship between the EU and Afghanistan.
