Save the date: Sustaining peace in focus as global experts convene in Stockholm

The high-level panel at the 2016 Stockholm Forum featured UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson, Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation Isabella Lövin and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.

Stockholm (6 April 2017) Over 200 high-level policymakers, researchers and practitioners will gather in Stockholm on 34 May for the fourth annual Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development. Co-hosted by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the 2017 Forum focuses on ‘what works’, and will identify good practice in peacebuilding and development.

Sessions topics include conflict prevention and renewed multilateralism, resilience to climate-related fragility, preventing violent extremism through peacebuilding, political corruption and organized crime, strategies for inclusive development and security and justice sector reform.
