Other core focus areas include increasing trade and investment between the UK and Sweden, a science partnership that identifies solutions to global challenges, strong climate advocacy to tackle long-term global climate and environmental challenges, and championing with Sweden international efforts to promote shared values and safeguard democracy, human rights, gender equality and the rule of law. |

The Embassy supports political and official level dialogue and close cooperation as befits countries with shared values and shared membership of the European Union. Cultural, educational and people-to-people exchanges are also promoted. The Embassy works closely with Irish state agencies to realise trade, investment and research objectives. The Embassy, the Irish Food Board (Bord Bia), Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Tourism Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland form “Team Ireland”.
