SIPRI and CONASCIPAL organize a consultative round table discussion in Mali

This consultative round table produced further insights into existing perceptions and perspectives on the causes, manifestations and possible solutions to the political and security crises in Mali.

The round table brought together around 50 participants from government, academia, international organizations and civil society. Apart from SIPRI project staff, the speakers included the Secretary General of the Ministry for National Reconciliation and Development in Northern Mali, a Technical Advisor from the same ministry, Professor Naffet Keita and Dr Younoussa Touré from the University of Bamako. The moderator was Dr Zeini Moulaye, Political Advisor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
