Tània Ferré Garcia was an intern in SIPRI’s Climate Change and Risk Programme. Her research focuses on climate-related peace and security risks as well as the connection between climate change and violent conflict.
She is a Master’s candidate in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University and holds a bachelor degree in Global Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain, where she focused on justice, politics, and globalization. Previously, she has worked on research for peace and advocacy for disarmament in Spain as well as in an NGO working for gender equality and refugees in Egypt.
