Tamar Zuurveld

Tamar was an intern supporting SIPRI's communications and events activities. During her internship, her focus is on supporting the organisation of the annual Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development.

She studied International Relations and International Organization at the University of Groningen, with a special focus on political philosophy and peacekeeping policies. Tamar wrote her bachelor thesis on the developments in UN peacekeeping policy making for Somalia since 1991. Additionally, she has concluded a semester reading ecology, anthropology and socioeconomics at the Paul Valéry University of Montpellier. During her studies, Tamar was involved in event and project managing for various student organisations.
