Roberto Dondisch <p>is a distinguished fellow at the Stimson Center. He served as the chief negotiator of Mexico throughout the United Nations process that led to the Arms Trade Treaty process, as vice-president of the diplomatic conferences and as facilitator on the article on diversion. He has also served as Mexico’s chief negotiator of the Paris Agreement on climate change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is a former director-general for global issues at the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and former head consul of Mexico in Seattle. Dondisch holds doctoral and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree from Georgetown University.</p>
