Lt. Col. Yu-Hsien Chiang was a Guest Researcher with the China and Asia Security Programme at SIPRI. His research focuses on military expenditure, defense budget transparency, and the Cross-Strait relations.
He is also an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel servicing in the Comptroller Bureau of Ministry of National Defense in Taipei. During his 12 years military service, he participated in the Finical Management Officer Course of Military Sales Training in the Air Force of United States in 2016. Prior to visiting SIPRI, he worked as a budget officer specialising in planning and distributing military resources to promote the effectiveness of the military budget utilisation.
