Jia-Yin Chen is a Guest Researcher in the SIPRI China and Asia Security Programme. He comes from the National Defense University (NDU) of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), currently serving as an Army Major. His main research areas include cognitive warfare, gray zone conflicts, and psychological warfare, with a focus on Cross-Strait relations. Before joining SIPRI, he has served as an Assistant Researcher at the Big Data Center of the NDU and the Risk Communication Project of the National Science and Technology Council. He also had experience in foreign affairs liaison and media work.
