Jakob Faller was a Research Assistant to the Director of SIPRI. He supported the Director with researching information on the full range of subjects the Director speaks and writes about.
Jakob holds a B.A. in political science from Mannheim University (Germany) where he focused on peace and conflict studies. His thesis analyzed the role of group-based inequalities in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Prior to joining SIPRI, Jakob was involved in updating the 10th edition of the State of the World Atlas (Dan Smith) and interned for Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V., a German-based NGO promoting global access to drinking water as well as sanitation and hygiene facilities.
