Ester Sabatino

is a Research Associate in the Defence and Analysis Programme at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Europe in Berlin. Her main focus is on the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy and defence cooperation among European states. She previously worked as a Researcher at the International Affairs Institute (IAI) in Rome. She obtained her master’s degree in international and diplomatic affairs from the University of Bologna and a second level master’s in politics and international relations from the LUMSA University in Rome.
