SIPRI researcher presents work on deterrence in cyberspace at Chinese conference

Dr Lora Saalman, Director of SIPRI’s Programme on China and Global Security, presented her work on deterrence frameworks in cyberspace at the 15th PIIC Beijing Seminar on International Security: Nuclear Nonproliferation and Cooperation on November 1-5, 2016 in Suzhou, China.

China’s Program for Science and National Security Studies organized the event, which was co-sponsored by China’s Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, the Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament, the International School on Disarmament and Research on Conflicts, and the Nuclear Threat Initiative.
