Zain Hussain is a Researcher in the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa.
Zain studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies. He worked at the British American Security Information Council (BASIC) as a QPSW peaceworker, assisting them in their work on a project devoted to the idea of a WMD-Free Zone in the Middle East. He then worked as a researcher in the field of ESG for Vigeo Eiris/Moody’s ESG, focusing on controversial weapons activity.
