SIPRI Senior Researcher Dr Neil Melvin (United Kingdom) has successfully submitted a tender to the Directorate-General for External Policies of the European Parliament.
Over the next four years, he will provide foreign and security policy analysis and recommendations concerning European Union enlargement, the Eastern neighbourhood, Russia and Central Asia to the Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and its Subcommittees as well as to the Committees for Development and International Trade.
Melvin joined SIPRI as Director of the Programme on Armed Conflict and Conflict Management in May 2010. He is currently the Head of the Conflict, Violence and Peacebuilding in the Caucasus Project. Read his SIPRI Expert Comment from March 2014 on the crisis in Ukraine.
