Silvia Simonini

Silvia was an intern with the European Security Programme at SIPRI to research the link between democratic governance and the energy transition.

Currently, Silvia is writing her MA thesis at Roskilde University, analyzing the concept of energy democracy in the Global South and Global North. She is also volunteering with a Danish student organization about Sustainable Development Goals. In the past, she has worked as a journalist for an Italian local newspaper and has collaborated with other national and international organizations engaged in the field of conflict, development and humanitarian aid.
