Niklas Bremberg

Niklas Bremberg is an Associate Senior Researcher at SIPRI. He is also an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, Stockholm University and a Senior Research Fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI). His research focuses on international practices, security communities, climate security governance and EU foreign and security policy, especially towards North Africa.

He has been a Visiting Researcher at the University of Toronto, the University of Liverpool, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the European Policy Centre in Brussels. In 2019 he will begin a new research project entitled 'National independence and European integration: Scotland’s and Catalonia’s democratic challenges to the political order in the European Union'.
