Manon du Bus de Warnaffe was an intern with the SIPRI Climate Change & Risk Programme. Her research focuses on climate-related security risks and European Member States.
Prior to joining SIPRI, she was an MSc student at the London School of Economics. Her thesis focused on women environmental defenders in Guatemala and the links with the Women, Peace and Security Agenda. In parallel to her MSc, she also worked as an intern on gender, peace and security in a Belgian think-tank. She also holds a double-undergraduate degree in Political Sciences and Socio-Anthropology. During her undergraduate program, she was involved in several youth-led initiatives, among which one was a non-profit organization working to reduce the gap between young people and Belgian politics.
