Dr Filippa Lentzos

Dr Filippa Lentzos is an Associate Senior Researcher in the SIPRI Armament and Disarmament Programme. She is also a co-director of the Centre for Science and Security Studies (CSSS) and Senior Research Fellow at King’s College London, a biosecurity columnist at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, an Associate Editor of the journal BioSocieties, and the NGO Coordinator for the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention.

A biologist and social scientist by training, Dr Lentzos spent the first ten years of her career at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2012, she moved to King’s College London as part of the team establishing the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine, and, in 2017, she became cross-appointed to King’s Department of War Studies.
